We’re embarking on something of a change of gear at FCTC and we’ve got a wide range of plans that we’re putting into action in 2016.
Of course the first major change is that we are producing a monthly e-shot with a variety of light articles for the busy general practitioner.
Allied to that we are now working on a brand new FCTC website. We’ve already seen the basic structure and we’re now engaged in writing new pages and building new sections. We’re really pleased with what we’ve seen and we hope to launch it by the end of March. We’ll be asking for feedback and suggestions to improve it even further.
We’re also putting together plans for the first FCTC Tax Conference. This is now scheduled for Tuesday 21 June at Ashford LLP on New Fetter Lane in Holborn (a week later than originally planned). The draft programme includes sections on equity incentives, company law for accountants, VAT, non-residents CGT, employment taxes, and insolvency / business recovery. Invites will be sent out soon and you will be able book a place via our website.
Our hope is that the London conference will become an annual fixture in the FCTC calendar, and something that we can take to Manchester on a regular basis also.
On a completely different tack Chris Watts is also planning an FCTC Golf Day in the London area with our colleagues in FC Business Recovery. If you are a keen golfer then get in touch with Chris Watts or Steve Henson and they will fill you in.
Recent recruits Scott Campbell and Chris Rodgers are also studying for new qualifications, the Advance Diploma of International Taxation (ADIT) and Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) respectively. Once the guys get these exams under their belt we will have even more tax firepower.
There’s certainly a lot to do, but we’ve got some lofty ambitions for 2016 and beyond.
